Welcome to the world’s largest natural habitat zoo! All Zoo guests and members are expected to adhere to the Zoo’s health and safety policies. Read below to see how the Zoo experience has changed for Covid safety.

At a glance:

  • Reservations are required for Zoo Entry.  Guests should arrive in their 30-minute entry window. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance
  • Face coverings are required at all indoor locations and on Zoo transportation in accordance with the current Governor’s Executive Order for all guests ages 5 and older.
  • Guests should maintain at least 6’ distance from other groups and practice frequent hand washing/sanitizing..

How to Reserve Entry Times:

  • Guests: Select General Admissions Timed-Entry Tickets. Refunds, rain checks, or exchanges on timed-entry tickets are not available.
  • North Carolina Zoo Society Members: Register online or call our membership office 336.879.7250 or 888.244.3736, open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Please bring your photo ID, Valid Membership Card and your reservation confirmation for entry.
  •  All Reciprocal and Corporate Members: Call our membership office 336.879.7250 between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Please bring your photo ID, Valid Membership Card, and reservation confirmation for entry. A list of reciprocal members can be found here.
  • Pre-Purchased Ticket Holders: Call the Zoo’s advance tickets office 336.879.7700 between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

What You Can Expect:

  • All guests will park and enter the Zoo through the North America Entrance
  • There is no re-entry at this time. Remember to bring everything you will need into the Zoo with you.
  • Trams are currently available between the North America entrance and Junction Plaza.
