These wild pigs are widely seen through the rainforests, thickets and savannas of western and central Africa. The animals get their name from their reddish color and because they are usually found near sources of water.

African Parking and Ticket Booth Closure
Africa parking, entrance gates, and Plaza (including gift shops, restrooms, and Billy D's restaurant) will be closed to the public through 8/24/26. All guests may park and access the entire Zoo through the North America entrance.
