Celebrate the life of your beloved pets at the North Carolina Zoo's Beloved Pet Ofrenda!

Join us at the Zoo's Beloved Pet Ofrenda, a heartfelt event celebrating the lives of our cherished pets who have passed on. In the spirit of Día de los Muertos, we'll honor their memories through a beautiful Ofrenda, where you can decorate frames for your pet photos and engage in creative crafts. Together, let’s remember our beloved companions and reflect on the enduring bond we share.
We encourage you to bring a 4” x 6” photo(s) of a pet that has passed away to the Zoo, where you can decorate a frame and leave their photo on the Ofrenda altar. We will provide colorful frames and markers for decorating! If you’re not able to print a photo, we will have a variety of species of pet printouts that you can decorate to look like a previous pet and place on the altar.
There will also be special performances, more details to come!
