A whimsical, hobbit-hole-like earthen structure with a rounded archway entrance is nestled into a hillside in a lush green forest, blending seamlessly with the surroundings. To the left of the entrance, a stone wall is integrated into the structure, and a vibrant purple rhododendron bush with green leaves blossoms atop the earthen roof.

A distant view of Harvey’s Ridge in the Uwharrie Mountain Range can be seen from the top of Uwharrie Vision, an earthworks installation so well blended into the native landscape that it appears to be a natural outcropping.

Uwharrie Vision is made from concrete, steel, plants and careful landscaping. It is meant to be an interactive natural installation for guests to enjoy.
