Several small animal art works function to help visitors with sight impairments. By touching these detailed, realistic sculptures a person might be able to “see” an animal’s overall shape and texture.

The Elephants as I.D. sculpture is made our of bronze and is installed on top of a fabricated rockwork base.

Made possible by a gift to the NC Zoo Society in memory of David Wayne Holt by Mom, Dad, and Mark
The Elephants as I.D. sculpture is located in Watani Grasslands near the Elephant Overlook in Africa.
A small bronze statue of two Elephants standing together, one reaching its trunk out towards the other. Mounds of mud and a termite mound are placed around them.
