The Zoo’s animal sculptures are not intended to take the place of living animals but to provide insight and to illustrate scale, anatomy, gestures, interactions or natural behaviors. White Rhino by Johnpaul Harris is one of the most popular animal sculptures in the Park because of its accessibility to children.

The White Rhinocerous sculpture is made out of bronze.

Artist Johnpaul Harris is a retired Exhibit Designer at the North Carolina Zoo.

Sponsored by Bob and Bonnie Meeker
The White Rhinocerous sculpture is located within the Watani Grasslands region in Africa.
