Visit the Zoo on Sunday, May 17, for a special Freedom’s Howl: The Song of the Red Wolves event! 

Purchase a copy of the 2025 book, commissioned by the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources in honor of America's 250th Anniversary celebration, and get it signed by author and illustrator during your visit. 

From 10 a.m. to Noon

Enjoy a special meet and greet with author Eileen Hayes & illustrator Anne Runyon by the Red Wolf habitat in North America.

From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Stop by North America Plaza for the book signing event and a chat with a Red Wolf expert who will share their knowledge and experience conserving this critically endangered species.
