The Renewal sculpture depicts three giraffes: both a male and female adult, and a juvenile giraffe. This family of giraffes is placed near the Forest Edge overlook in front of the Zebra, Ostrich, Giraffe habitat so that live giraffes may be seen simultaneously while viewing the sculpture. This piece serves as a memorial to a young boy whose favorite animal was the giraffe.

The Renewal sculpture is made from bronze.
