The Lion’s Pride mural is a colorful, whimsical glazed tile mural and dedication wall depicting the plants and animals of the African grasslands. Visitors experience a sense of discovery as they identify familiar animals. This artwork also memorializes a group of individuals, the Lion’s Pride, who, through their generosity, wills and estate gifts plant robust seeds that germinate and grow into tangible support for a broad array of Zoo programs.

Made possible through the NC Zoo Society
The Lions Pride mural and dedication wall is located along the pathway between the Zebra, Ostrich, and Giraffe habitat and the Red Riger Hog habitat within Africa.
A colorful outdoor mural made of a large grid of painted ceramic tiles depicting various African animals, including a rhino, lion, elephants, zebra, and several birds, set against a background of plants. Flanking the tile mural are two brown panels with white text; the left panel is titled "The Lion's Pride."
