Zoo Camps

Sign your children up for a WILD adventure! North Carolina Zoo Camp is way for kids to learn about animals and our natural environment in an outdoor setting. Zoo camp programs offer a one-day or week-long experience for students entering grades 1 - 6. Zoo camp activities may include visiting park habitats, meeting a zookeeper, creating a take-home craft, conducting experiments, and playing games.

The North Carolina Zoo is proud to offer Camp KidZu! These day camps are specifically designed for kids with high-functioning autism in rising 3rd-8th grades that offer social, educational, and recreational activities in a structured but fun environment. Camp KidZu may include visiting park exhibits, meeting a zookeeper, creating a take-home craft, and making new friends all while learning about the Zoo’s resident animals and conservation efforts.
