Mission & Goals of the Valerie H. Schindler Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

Wildlife rehabilitation is the process of providing care for injured and orphaned wildlife for the purpose of returning them to their natural habitat in a condition which will optimize their chances for survival.

Mission Statement for the Rehabilitation Center

To provide care to injured and orphaned native wildlife. To educate the public as to the nature of the problems confronting wild populations in the face of expanding human populations. To encourage respect for the environment and the other species that share it with us.
