Origin: Mexico and Central America

Tricolor interest

This perennial is found in oasis areas of the desert. Its loose blooms are orange to red with yellow throats from spring through fall, against a background of lush, dark green leaves and red stems. It is a favorite of hummingbirds. Currently, scientist are looking into this plant due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
