Hoary Yucca


Yucca x schottii
Family: Asparagaceae
Origin: Southwest New Mexico, southeast Arizona,
and north Mexico

Mountainous tree yucca


A natural occurring hybrid, the Hoary Yucca can grow as much as 10-15 feet tall with 3 feet long bluish-green leaves. Each leaf has a sharp spine at the tip. The plant produces creamy white flowers on a stalk about 3 feet tall. This yucca’s range extends to much higher altitudes than other tree yuccas.
