First Aid Stations are located at both entrances. The Zoo employs Emergency Medical Technicians during Park hours. Individuals allergic to stinging insects are encouraged to bring their epinephrine kit with them. The Zoo is unable to provide over-the-counter medicines at its first aid stations. Sunscreen and headache medicine can be purchased at the gift shops.
Any uniformed Zoo staff is available to answer visitors questions. Park rangers patrol the Zoo and can help with medical emergencies, locating a lost child, or directions. Visitor Center offices are located in the Akiba Market and North America Plaza. Stop by to receive general visitor assistance or to check the lost and found.

The Zoo has two ATM locations. One ATM is located inside the Wilderness Café in the North America Plaza and the other is located in the center of the Park inside the Junction Springs Cafe.

Report the lost item to any Park Ranger. To reclaim found items, please go to the Visitors Service Office. Visitors will be asked to give a description of the item and its last known location. If you have exited the Park and need assistance, please call 336.879.7541.
The North Carolina Zoo is located at the base of the Uwharrie Mountains which limits cell phone service by some providers.
The Zoo has a limited number of lockers for rent on a daily basis. The North America entrance has 18 lockers that measure 16" wide x 23" high x 30" deep and are $1 for the day. Lockers are available on first-come, first-serve basis.
