Classroom Programs

Want to meet a Zoo Keeper? Through the NC Zoo's Keepers in the Classroom program, North Carolina classroom teachers and students can do just that! The Keepers in the Classroom program provides the opportunity for a keeper to spend up to one hour in a NC classroom engaging students in discussions about environmental issues relative to their own lives and specific to animals and plants exhibited at the NC Zoo. Ideally, the presentation will inspire a commitment in students to take actions to benefit the environment. Environmentally friendly classroom ‘action’ projects are encouraged.
