N.C. Zoo Camp is a great way for kids to learn about animals and our natural environment in an outdoor setting. Zoo camp programs offer a one-day experience for students entering grades 1 - 8. Zoo Camp activities may include visiting park exhibits, meeting a zookeeper, creating a take-home craft, conducting experiments and playing games.
This year the NC Zoo is proud to launch Camp KidZu! These day camps are specifically designed for kids with high functioning autism who are entering grades 1-6. They will offer social, educational, and recreational activites in a structured but fun environment that will help broaden their knowledge of zoo animals and conservation practices. Camp KidZu activites may include visiting park exhibitis, meeting a zoo keeper, creating a take-home craft and making new friends.
