Sue Farlow is the poet coordinator for The Poetry of Conservation. She is a past president of the North Carolina Poetry Society where she served for six years on the board of directors. Her short story, Journey to June, about teaching while recovering from stage three breast cancer was published in Journalism Education Today, a national journalism magazine. Five Years Later was published in the same magazine. Her works have been published in anthologies, and she has twice been runner-up in the North Carolina Poet Laureate contest. Her chapbook, Waiting for Olivia, chronicled the nine months prior to her granddaughter's birth.
Sue retired from teaching after 29 years last year. She spent 25 of those years teaching English, yearbook and journalism at Asheboro High School.
