Scout Badge Programs

Want a unique, fun place for your scouts to work on their badges?  Then look no further than the NC Zoo!  We offer a variety of badge programs for girl scouts and boy scouts.  Scouts will earn their badges through educational hands-on activities, meeting some live animals, and getting creative with some make and take crafts!

Scout programs will be offered on the following Saturdays, and reservations are accepted on a first-come first-served basis:

2014 Scout Badge Program Dates

January 11 and 25

February 8 and 22

March 8 and 22

April 5

May 3 and 24

June 21

August 2 and 16

September 6 and 27

October 25

November 1 and 15

There is a maximum of 25 scouts and a minimum of ten scouts per program.  Groups exceeding the 25 scout maximum may split their group and book two programs on the same day.  Fees and time lengths vary depending on program option.  Prices for the programs do not include admission to the Zoo, however admission is required to get into the area where the programs will be held.  The Zoo will not provide the badges. 


If you would like to schedule a scout badge program for your group, please complete the following steps:

1.  Choose a program from the appropriate list:

2.  Select two or three dates, from the above list, that work for your group.

3.  Contact the Zoo's Education Department at 336.879.7716 or email your request.

4.  Once your program is booked, you will receive a confirmation letter providing details for purchasing admission tickets.  Discounts may be available for scout groups making reservations two or more weeks in advance.
