North Carolina Zoo Seeks Public’s Help in Spotting Two African Birds That Left Their Habitat

The zoo is asking the public’s help in locating two fully-flighted Secretary Birds, and has set up a Hotline to call with sightings: 336.879.7610. Learn more and see the latest in our Q & A.

Starting June 15, the seals and sea lions are getting their habitat remodeled!

During this renovation, the sea lions will be kept in the polar bear pool. The polar bears may be seen in their second habitat, behind the Ice Cave building. You will not see the harbor seals during this time as they will be enjoying their behind-the-scenes outdoor pool. Thank you for your patient and understanding!
