Dr. Randy Fulk
Curator of Education
Dr. Randy Fulk is the Zoo’s Curator of Education and supervises the division which provides all on- and off-site education programs for Zoo visitors, students and the public.
Randy received his Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Before moving to the education post, he served 12 years as the Zoo's Curator of Conservation & Research and was responsible for developing and implementing scientific research to enhance the care and management of the Zoo’s animal collection as well as overseeing the Zoo’s field conservation programs.
Randy has been involved in developing environmentally and economically sustainable eco-tourism and crafts projects as part of the Zoo’s field programs in Uganda. His other projects have included chimpanzee conservation programs in Uganda, reduction of human – elephant conflicts in Cameroon, and community education to reduce hunting and promote support for Ugandan national parks.
