Karen Auman
Director of Visitor Services
Karen Auman is the North Carolina Zoo’s Director of Visitor Services. Her division is responsible for admissions (both on-site and on-line), ride operations, gift sales, custodial services, visitor transportation services, security operations and coordination of the Zoo's food service contract.
Karen is a professional planner by training and worked with county and regional governments in eastern North Carolina prior to joining the Zoo in 1994. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the UNC - Greensboro. Karen is a member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).
