Groups
We are pleased to offer a discounted rate for groups of 15 or more. You may reserve online or call the Zoo's Reservation Help Line at 1.800.488.0444, extension 7700, toll free. Reservationists are available to help you with online registration Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST. Please note: You must make your reservation at two weeks in advance to be eligible for your discount.
Standard Groups
The N. C. Zoo welcomes all groups, tour operators, motor coach companies and schools. The Zoo's onsite caterer can provide a wide menu of services customized to suit the needs of your group. Additionally, qualifying groups will receive two free admissions to the Zoo.
Standard Group Ticket Prices
For your group to receive special group ticket prices:
- Group should have 15 or more paid attendees.
- One person (group leader) must pick up the tickets for the entire group upon arrival.
- The entire group must enter the Zoo together.
- Attending groups that are not picnicking may have one person purchase the tickets for the group upon arrival at the Zoo.
- Picnicking groups must order their Zoo tickets in advance. Those tickets will be distributed by the purchaser, thus allowing the group to enter the Zoo at different times.
- If your corporation is a member of the North Carolina Zoo Society, the group leader should call (336) 879-7250 for ticket information.

School Groups
The N. C. Zoo is an outstanding educational facility. We are pleased to welcome school groups from across the nation for an unforgettable learning experience.
School group rates, information and online registration
Picnics
Groups may rent one of our lovely, private picnic areas on a "first-call" basis. We offer a shaded public area near the North America entrance, which is available on a "first-come" basis.
Catering
Catering arrangements for picnics may be made by calling the Zoo's catering service, Sodexo Services, at (336) 879-7375.
Payment
Payment may be made by cash, Visa, Master Card, American Express, personal or organization check.
Refunds/Rain Checks
Most of our facilities are outside. Due to various weather conditions, some animals may not be visible or on exhibit. We do not offer refunds or rain checks.
Parking
We are pleased to offer a designated area for bus parking.
