Africa Entrance Opens for 2009 Season

ASHEBORO, N.C.— The North Carolina Zoo’s Africa entrance, closed for the winter season since November, will open for the 2009 season Saturday, Feb. 28. However, the park’s winter hours, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., will remain in effect until April 1, when they will return to summer hours, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The zoo is an agency of the N.C. Department of Environment & Natural Resources, Dee Freeman, Secretary; Beverly Eaves Perdue, Governor.
