NC ZOO BEGINS SUMMER HOURS APR. 1

ASHEBORO, N.C.—On Tuesday, April 1, as part of the transition from its winter to summer operation schedule, the North Carolina Zoo will begin summer operating hours of 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily; those hours will remain in effect through Oct. 31.

The zoo is open daily, year-round except Christmas Day and is located on Zoo Parkway (N.C. 159) six miles southeast of Asheboro off U.S. 220 and U.S. 64. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens (62 and older) and $6 for children 2-12.

The zoo is an agency of the N.C. Department of Environment & Natural Resources, William G. Ross Jr., Secretary; Michael F. Easley, Governor.
