NC Zoo Bear Exhibit Closed for Expansion

ASHEBORO, N.C.—The North Carolina Zoo's grizzly bear exhibit will be closed for about a week while workmen install a weather shelter for the bears.
The bear-exhibit closing does not affect the other zoo exhibits and regions, which generally remain open through their normal winter hours of 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Visitors are reminded to check the zoo’s Web site at www.nczoo.org for other routine temporary closings.
The zoo is an agency of the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources, William G. Ross Jr., Secretary; Michael F. Easley, Governor.
