Day Camps

Pack your lunch and head to the zoo for a day of fun and exploration. From 9am to 2pm, kids will be busy doing activities, playing games and visiting park exhibits. There are camp programs available for rising 1st graders – rising 6th graders. Come prepared for the weather and fun adventures, as we learn all about the wild, wildlife at NC Zoo. Numbers are limited, so register quick!

Multi Day Camps

CAMP FEES

Camp fees are as stated under each program: $30 for day camps; $80 for 3-day camp; and $110 for 3-day camp w/overnight.
A discount is available to NC Zoo Society Members and NC Zoo Employees: $25 for day camps; $70 for 3-day camp; and $90 for 3-day camp w/ overnight.
Special discount for children attending 3 or more day camps: camps will be $25 each.
The $25 registration fee is non-refundable.

REGISTRATION

Registration will begin April 1, 2008. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

Please enclose a $25 non-refundable deposit. Payment can be sent in the form of a check or money order. Payment in full is required one week before the date of your camp program.
All registrations must be received in a hard copy format via mail, or dropped off at the Stedman Education Building. E-mail and phone registrations are not accepted.
Each session has limited space and is closed when filled. A waiting list is kept for each session.
All money received will be processed upon receipt. If there is no space available, your check will be returned.
Once your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation letter by mail or e-mail. Please bring the confirmation on the first day of camp.
No refunds are available on or after the date of your camp session.

LUNCHES AND SNACKS

Small morning snacks and drinks will be provided at each camp. Campers should pack a bag lunch that does not require refrigeration or heating.

ARRIVAL AND PICK UP

Children may be dropped off no earlier than 8:50am. Children must be picked up promptly after their camp day ends.
Drop off and pick up will be at the Stedman Education Center in the North American parking lot at the zoo.

WHAT TO BRING

Zoo camp operates rain or shine. Please come prepared for changing weather. Campers should bring with them a backpack, sunscreen, hat, water bottle, bag lunch. Children should not bring money, valuables or toys, unless specified by the camp counselor.

CAMP T-SHIRTS

Camp t-shirts are available. If you choose to pre-order your t-shirt at the time of registration, it will cost $8.00. Shirts will be sold on the morning of camp days, for $10.00. Please see the registration form for information.
