N.C. Zoo offers a variety of motivating learning experiences that enable participants to discover the interconnections of all living things, inspiring a positive, life-long environmental awareness. The programs are offered at the Zoo or at your school.
Sign your children up for a wild adventure! Zoo Camp is a great way for kids to learn about animals and our natural environment in an outdoor setting. The camps are available to rising 1st graders to rising 6th graders. Come prepared for the weather and fun adventures as we learn all about the wild, wildlife at the NC Zoo.

Improving and expanding classroom skills is a lifelong process for teachers. Zoo workshops provide educators with resources, materials and strategies to improve their ability to facilitate inquiry-based investigations. (more)
The Zoo is dedicated to helping Scout leaders provide meaningful Zoo experiences that promote an understanding of issues related to conservation. This program provides an opportunity to learn about the Zoo in an integrated way while earning a Zoo Scout Badge. (more)
The goal of the N.C. Zoo Education Division's internship experience is to provide pre-professional, in-service experiential learning opportunities for dedicated students interested in environmental issues/ethics, communication, informal education, visitor studies and community service. (more)
